This section is a little longer than the rest because it's the only canon I haven't requested before. I looked deep into my own heart and asked myself "would I be just as happy to get this as some faves I've loved longer?" and the answer is YES. Watching this unhinged show has been a delight of the last few months.
Many spoilers!
Please get Gao Tu and Shen Wenlang together with full catharsis of all the shit Gao Tu's been put through. That said, if Gao Tu could go through slightly less shit, that would be great! I wanted Shen Wenlang to get a clue looong before Gao Tu's kid is an actual toddler. In fact, for all the angst potential of their encounter, and for all my love of identity porn I would be very happy for that encounter to have gone a different way - even without the pregnancy. If they have to fuck that way could they at least enjoy a little part of it? Because. Horrific.
Maddening as Shen Wenlang's assumptions and prejudices were, and all the times Gao Tu sadly shrugged and just weathered it, there were times Shen Wenlang was really likeable to me. His eyerolling in the background of Hua Yong's scenes was hilarious. HIs utter blind spot about how Gao Tu felt about his pretense of coercing poor vulnerable omega Hua Yong to sleep with him was fascinating - he seemed to expect that no one who knew him would believe in it, that was just a farce for that arrogant bastard Sheng Shaoyou, right?! So the scenes where he was yanking Sheng's chain but also concerned about Gao Tu's reaction to alpha pheromone conflicts really stuck with me. Anyway, I would love for him to realize that because of how he's been acting, it was actually very reasonable for Gao Tu to believe he would do such a thing. But I also want to see his good traits come through. I think Gao Tu should get the jawdroppingly gorgeous alpha he wants, but I would also like to see a Shen Wenlang who has something going for him besides being jawdroppingly gorgeous. Please let both of them have some competence. Like, I think Shen Wenlang deserves to grovel a bit, but would prefer we not do that thing where the entire fic is Gao Tu Deserves Everything And Shen Wenlang Is A Worm. I hope that makes sense! Sorry if not!
I also really enjoyed Gao Qing! And the worldbuilding! Tell me more about HR requirements for pheromone-proof rooms in your company of upwards of X staff etc. Anyone else is welcome to show up; I'm especially fond of Chen Pinming and Chang Yu.
I'm obviously especially fond of canon divergence here, but scenes from pre-canon that lean all the way into the pining would be great too. And if you want to throw tropes at a wall, dreamsharing would be amazing, or give me a five times fic(x) of five different ways Gao Tu and Shen Wenlang's first time could have gone better.

This is an absolutely beloved comfort canon and I have re-read the whole thing occasionally in the last few years. Additionally, maybe something about people's Colour zone identity and how it's managed to allow people to safely differentiate themselves without having the rigidity of level rankings. It's fascinating to me how this is a dystopia but Amber - and her closest colleagues - don't necessarily know that. But you're very welcome to write a purely uplifting story for them! Action/adventure and worldbuilding are great and so is celebrating Lucas/Amber.

I also love Jughead as he feels like the "wise sage" character who often sheds light on everyone else's drama and his dynamic with the others is always interesting to see.

What would it be like for Kolya to live with a stepfather he has only met a few times and who knows only a few words of Kolya's language? He's young, and probably isn't a fluent reader in Russian yet, but what would it be like to be beginning to learn to read and write his own name and some simple words - and find himself living in a country that uses a completely different alphabet? What would it be like to return to the mother who left him behind, whom he hasn't seen in over a year, and who speaks a language he has barely heard in over a year - and to move to a new country, with a new language, and his mother's new boyfriend - and to leave behind the 'father' who has been caring for him for so long? Canon-specific: In the song Jožin z Bažin, the chairman of a village promised his daughter's hand in marriage and half of the local agricultural collective to the narrator if he brought in the monster Jožin, dead or alive. The narrator successfully caught Jožin and decided to sell him to the zoo instead. What did the daughter think about her father's offer? Did the chairman have her permission to offer her hand in marriage? Was the chairman serious about his offer?
Why did the narrator decide he'd rather have cash than marriage to the chairman's daughter and half of an agricultural collective?
How does Jožin adapt to the zoo? Does he hate being in captivity? Does he enjoy a wider variety of food? Does he enjoy watching and interacting with people, even though he can no longer hunt them?
Possible prompts:
The narrator wants to accept the chairman's offer, but only if the chairman's daughter's wants to marry him. She does not. She uses traditional (organic) methods on her family's personal plot, and has observed the differences between her family's garden and the collective farm's chemical agriculture – and noticed that the pest insects are the first to return after application of pesticides; the predatory insects, spiders, and birds take much longer – allowing for greater losses to pests in the chemical agriculture than the traditional. Vampire King Dick is the best thing ever. He's so evil and ruthless and I just want to see him fuck everyone up and laugh while drinking their loved ones' blood out of a cup while sadistically taunting them. Tell me there wasn't sexual tension when he had dying Jason at his mercy and pulled off his mask, or a huge D/s undertone in his Lord/Lieutenant relationship with Hal. Or the part where he implied having Kory as a prisoner while using her blood as a temporary "cure" for signs of vampirism. Just want to see Dick as a dominant, totally remorseless vampire villain who you want to hate but also can't help but be enthralled by because "sexy vampires" and stuff.
Kinda into any kind of kinky scenario where Dick keeps Jason or Kory prisoner as unturned blood cows/sex toys, or Hal being a good little submissive vampire servant, or Jason being a good little submissive vampire servant in a world where Dick turns him. The full game gave us a lot of info on what exactly caused the visitors, but there’s still a lot we don’t know. Why is the pale man so in control while the cashier girl so lost? Are there different kinds of visitors? Are the visitors caused by fungus or the bug in the ears? Are they revived from the dead? Are some of them more “original” or “powerful” than the others? Do they really wear human skin (other than the pale man, the old granny also has a face that droops the longer you speak to her)? And how do the sun and FEMA play into all of this?
Are the visitors like vampires—risen from the dead, can’t enter without an invitation, and anyone can become one?
You don’t have to include all the requested characters, but please include the Protagonist.
The protagonist—his backstory is so intriguing. I want to know more. I want to know why he’s the way he is—lonely and borderline suicidal, but has to learn to open his heart for his guests. One thing the game really left me wanting is that there isn’t a single ending that’s objectively “good.” No… I didn’t really like the death ending in which we assume the Protagonist just… died. I’d love to see your take on a “good ending” in which the Protagonist not only survives but… is grateful that he does. Maybe with some of the guests being his found family. Perhaps he ends up fulfilling the neighbor’s last wish and adopts his daughter (damaged man reluctantly adopting an orphaned child is one of my all-time favorite tropes!). Or forming a bond with the widow and raising the neighbor’s daughter with her?
Other guests—not all listed, but I’d also love to learn more about any of the other guests that you find interesting.
I also find the demon baby ending really creepy and would love the backstory of the seductive woman and the cult.

I'd really really love for this to be either romantic, sexual, or something similar, no matter which character group you're picking. But if that's really not your thing, that's fine, I just really want to see these characters! I have a slight preference for plot focus rather than platonic relationship focus if romance/smut is off the table.
I'll admit, I haven't played the game hands-on, only watched numerous playthrough videos of it. I think I've seen all the routes, however, so I should understand whichever detail you want to focus on. What I like about the relationships from this game is that... they're all kinda fucked up? Kurt's manipulation of everyone around him; Dimitri being a doctor who wants to do good but is inexcusable in enabling Kurt's evil deeds (possibly blinded by love?); the Protagonist being the player character connecting the most with us but ends up revealing as an enforcer of a tyrannical regime... Messy feelings and fucked up power dynamics all around!!! Kurt keeping Dimitri by his side using sweet talk but holds unspoken power over him; Kurt being all around creepy and fucked up with Protagonist when she lost her memories (I think the whole non-consensual mind/body modification alone is a HUGE assault on someone's person); Dimitri trauma bonding with the Protagonist over Kurt's manipulations... Or put them together, have Dimitri bonding with Protagonist only for Kurt to discover them and punish them both, or let Kurt be at their mercy. Going darker: Kurt forcing them into doing things they aren't comfortable with as punishment, or something with an unbalanced V-type relationship where Kurt clearly prefers one of them but keeps the other around anyway just to be cruel.
Other random ideas:
- anything similar to the Dimitri ending (possibly without the deaths?) where they successfully run away together (whether in a romantic way or not)
- I kept having thoughts about Kurt sexually assaulting the protagonist what with undressing in front of her and sleeping in her bed... but I'd also love to see more of the Anime-esque "bastard boyfriend" trope where he essentially tortures her (traps her in a toxic relationship) even though he's written as the pretty boy male love interest stereotype
- Kurt and Dimitri's backstory, how they got together, etc. I see their relationship being a bit more consensual than the above, but I will never say no to noncon either, especially with how fucked up Kurt is.
- Kurt arrested by Protagonist ending: the potential ramifications of that. Also I get really excited thinking about a Protagonist with her memories back giving Kurt a taste of his own medicine. Her torturing Kurt (whether in a kinky way or not) for information or for what he'd done would be great, as does a wider look at the people she works for and the attempt at recreating Kurt's brand of immortality
- something gen (or not so gen) horror involving Kurt's fate or Dimitri crawling inside the mansion walls would be GREAT
For Protagonist (if you're including her), I'm fine with any OC name you want to give her as long as it's reasonably believable for a female character with an Eastern European-esque background. I’m a sucker for stories where the trauma that characters face is treated with care. The middle of the book nearly lost me, but the ending pulled me back full force!
Damn! I was hoping for Newton to survive, but I can’t complain that it ended up being Max. The chapter dedicated to his lasting trauma is sad but so well done that I can even forgive the turtle scene. I really want to see some form of happy ending where both boys survive and grow into adulthood, or just anything that’s less sad than the canon ending. And what about the aftermath? How would Newton corroborate with Max’s version of events? How would the parents cope? Would the two surviving boys form some kind of a trauma bond? Max/Newton is just as good as Max & Newton, so gimme shippy or gen content, I love them both!
I also love dark shit and the body horror of this book, especially when the worms are making Shelley believe that he’s pregnant and must now protect his “babies.” That’s both fucked up and has a… strange erotic undertone that makes you kinda uncomfortable. I love body horror, especially the type when a foreign parasitic entity is rewiring someone’s brain or modifying their body, severing their identity and making them into tools for the entity’s procreation. I like Shelley’s psychopathic creepiness as well as the scifi horror of the worms. Gimme something creepy, if you’d like! I’d love to see whump in which Shelley gets his hands (or the worms make him get his hands) on Max or Newton or both. Torturing them or making them into hosts just like Shelley. No happy ending is required for this, especially if you want to fully embrace the horror!

I love The Changeover a great deal - it's such a fantastic coming-of-age story, with huge compassion for all its characters (except of course the truly evil bad guy), a brilliant feeling of magic flaring at the edge of things, and a wonderful sense of place. Plus, I still ship Laura and Sorry like burning.
Don't feel you have to include all the characters I've listed - I'd love something that focused in on just Miryam, out with Winter in their big house surrounded by built-over fields. An AU in which she doesn't send Sorry away (not that I see this working out all that well, necessarily), or in which she takes more dangerous measures to stop suburbia creeping close? Or something about her relationship with Sorry, or with Laura?
I'd also really enjoy a glimpse of Sorry and Laura's future relationship - both of them growing up and figuring themselves out some more, and maybe fighting magical evil while they're at it. I'm very invested in Sorry's future life of being out in the wild and talking to trees, but what does Laura do once she's left school? How does she fold her life as a witch into the everyday world of her mother and Jacko? Really, I'd love anything here, from casefic to romance to slice of life.

In the Flesh (TV)

I loved this sweet, sad, sharp little show: how generously metaphorical its central conceit was, how suggestive its mythology and worldbuilding, how fiercely hopeful it remained for all that it was full of horror and petty cruelty and the corrosiveness of fear. I've nominated Kieron and Simon, but I'd be delighted with fic that focused on expanding the post-Rising world, or on answering some of the questions the end of season 2 left open: what is to become of Amy? Of Jem? Of Maxine? One of my very favourite aspects of the show was its sense of place: how rooted it was in the landscape and community of Roarton; how much attention it paid to the dangerous (in this case, almost literally apocalyptic) dynamics of local gossip and old-new prejudices. Worldbuilding-focused fic that worked along these lines (minutes from meetings of the Roarton Historical Society before, during, and after the Rising?), or which expanded on the nightmarish bureaucracy faced by 'PDS sufferers' (to chilling and/or comedic effect) would be amazing.
(Incidentally, intrigued though I am by the implications of Amy's canon fate - and much as I refuse to buy that her second death was intended to be final - I'm not all that interested in seeing the undead returned wholesale to life, or at least not with this being presented as an uncomplicated happy ending.)
I should admit, as well, that In The Flesh was crammed full with tropes I absolutely love. 'Monsters' trying desperately to pass for human; characters haunted and threatened by the loss of their very identity (and identity-porn in general); the everyday mechanics of uncanny bodies; body-horror and unethical human experimentation galore ... if your fic leans into the curve on any of these aspects, I would be delighted.
I'd also be delighted with flat-out shipfic: how do Kieran and Simon negotiate their romance, after the end of season 2? How do they manage sex, if they do so at all? (I'd be more than fine with sweet/unsettling/hilarious zombie porn adventures!). How does Kieran cope with being the subject of some of the same messianic zeal that Simon once applied to the cause of the Undead Liberation Army - with having become, perhaps, Simon's new Cause? How does Simon deal with Kieran's tendency to second-guess himself, to sink into apathy or despair? How do they both manage to sustain a relationship across possible centuries of unlife? (And, ngl, I'd prefer it if they did.) What does the world look like, five centuries after The Rising? After Amy's (assumed) second resurrection? When Roarton itself is gone, and all its living inhabitants distant memories? There's a lot of room here for epic scope and aching bittersweetness (or flat-out darkfic: absolutely welcome), but I'm also very fond of the dopey, earnest awkwardness of Simon and Kieran's early courtship: I'd love just another supper with Kieran's family, or perhaps a meeting with an older Jem, post-canon. Or, well, just a day in the unlife. Village fêtes optional!

HotE ate my entire brain. I LOVE Cliopher. I love his devotion and love for his Radiancy, his desire to make the world a better place, his stubbornness and determination, his deep connection to his family, home and culture despite his long years so far away, his utter competence and unshakeable ethics… I love HR and his humor and mischief and longing to escape the confines of his position. I love the special bond they obviously have and which obviously means so much to them both, and my god the pining, I want them to be able to be together in all the ways they want to. I obviously ship them romantically, but if you are more moved to write about their love platonically, that is completely welcome as well. I am absolutely on board with canon divergence of the flavor "Kip is sexually attracted to HR" OR canon-level aroace Kip. I would adore fic that has the five friends living in Kip’s house in Gorjo City after they retire, something slice-of-life or working out who they are apart from their jobs. I’m imagining some silly roommate fluff/humor like HR making nothing but fruit salad every time it’s his turn to cook (because he loves fresh fruit!! - Daemon AU. Daemon-settling fics are so much about coming of age stories and formative experiences, and LC is a coming of age story about formative experiences; I love all the daemon tropes in general, but one of the things that interests me most about the idea of an AU for LC in particular is that I can’t imagine they’d settle as the same things in each ending, since the endings make them into such drastically different people. (But if *you* imagine they would settle the same way no matter what I’d be really intrigued by that too.)
- Post-canon - which may or may not include the immediate aftermath - of any of the endings, but the one that intrigues me the most is post-brainwashing. Either POV would be interesting. (Re: brainwashing: Does she regret it? What is it like? *What happens afterwards?*)
- Something surrounding Cuno’s relationship to the locusts and/or his nightmares and/or his imagination in some combination. I dearly love the locust box mechanic and its grotesque and beautiful evolution. (I would be delighted, and impressed, by any fic that manages to be about the relationship between the three of them: Cuno, Cunoesse, and the Box of Locusts.)
- Anything using Zaum (the drug) &/or the psychedelic cavefish marrow.
- I love Hercule and every ‘timeline’ he can go through in Act II and what C&C do to him; I love his opinions of them and theirs of him. & I also love everything we know about the Girl Leader and her place and scenes in Act IV. I think it would be really interesting to bounce them off other characters their age in a fic without leaning into smarm or losing their canon-typical rough edges. (I have a strong bias towards fiction that takes conflicts between children seriously.)
- There are very few C POV fics out there in the world compared to Cuno, and I would love any fic from C’s POV. (I love also whatever is going on with her skill Surface Tension and her “deep connection to water”, and wonder how that affects her perspective.)

Mods and DLCs are the fun part, most of all the self-indulgent ones that give all the colonists fox tails or make torture worse or whatever it is a given player likes. (Pick what YOU like.) I include the forbidden mod as an acceptable mod to write; i.e. RJW is not a DNW, but also not a request.
- I actively like other people’s very self-indulgent RW OCs. RimWorld *is* a “story generator”.
- I would gladly love an AU from another fandom set inside RimWorld if the focus is on RimWorld worldbuilding. (Example fandoms I am in: Annihilation & the whole Southern Reach series by Jeff VanderMeer, The Wire (2002), all Porpentine Charity Heartscape’s stories in the story codex on xrafstar.monster - yeah, these are weird choices, but the weirder the better.) The thing I am *most interested in* is worldbuilding, which I know (especially with mods) is different for every game: What is your agricultural system like? What’s going on with your economy? How are your politics, or religion, or prison systems, or factions doing? How does all this impact colonists’ lives? What is it like to be a colonist there? This is the type of question I would like a story to answer.

Hello, this surprised me so much when I saw it on the fandom list. I didn’t know what it meant and spent a few fascinated hours watching videos and reading their associated comments sections and screenshotting things and sending them to my friends. To my knowledge there is no other fic about it, and I could not find a fandom. I don’t know what a fic about it *would* look like. If you’ve signed up to write it I assume you have some idea of what you’d most like to write about it so like: Please write what your heart wants. And show me. Because I’m very invested and still watching U.S. Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board videos.
I think this would be really well-suited to experimental formats in particular.

Every once in a while I will pick up a narrative work without knowing very much about it - purely based on vibes - and it will turn out to be very, very queer. The Alters surprised me. I went in expecting some identity stuff, some sci-fi, and fun gameplay. I sure got that, but I was not prepared for the "I guess we're all bi here" or the fundamental exploration of what it means to be the worst version of yourself by virtue of making all the worst choices and having to grow out of that while constantly under threat. I was not prepared for falling in love with all versions of Jan Dolski and also wanting him to climb Lucas Pena like a tree.
As you can perhaps see from which characters I chose, I would truly appreciate you exploring the Jans' queerness. I would like to see your take on saving Ben and what it means to love someone who doesn't even know you yet. I want to see what you would do with Lucas and Jan, whether they get to go to that dinner with grandma. Also, the worldbuilding and all the other choices you can make that change not just the fate of these characters, but the entire world.

Listen, I am a simple girl with simple tastes and I would like you to explore their relationship. If you're into that, I'm not opposed to romance, and if you're not, I just want to know how we can get them to finally stay within reach of each other. It's funny how the movies so clearly portray both of them as neurodiverse, but only Christian is allowed to be. Braxton has to be the normal one. He has constructed this image of himself as the caretaker, even though neither of them really want that. The distance Christian puts between them is deliberate and I want you to dig into the why. What pushes them apart, what pulls them together? And can two very fucked up assassins in their middle-age find some peace, maybe even with or alongside each other?

I find Braxton and Christian's relationship to be one of the most compelling aspects of the movies. I also ship them. I'm still not over the revelation in the second movie that Chris just... didn't show up to his promised meeting with Braxton. (At least it sounds like Braxton made a point of staying in touch this time...) Also, Braxton's teary-eyed vulnerability whenever Chris was in the same frame in the first movie continues to compel me.
Some prompts:
- Post-movies, one brother rescues the other from peril. Maybe they're together on a mission and something goes wrong, or maybe they were doing separate missions and one of them got in over his head. Hurt/comfort, teary (Braxton) and stoic (Chris) reunion, bad guys get murdered with violence. I'm here for any and all of it.
- Post-movies, they go hiking as Chris planned, or at least stay together for some time. What do they do with the cat? Is Braxton, king of abandonment issues, really going to just ditch Greg the corgi?? (Maybe they are both cat people, or maybe they can be a cat and dog family; either way, I'd love to read it!)
- Missing scene - one (or more) phone calls that Braxton made to Chris in the eight years between movies.

I have a particular soft spot for Alfie - something about characters that you wouldn't necessarily expect to be aware of their own privilege being so careful not to take advantage of said privilege and in fact actually feeling an obligation to give something in return for that privilege... Yeah. (Not to say that he doesn't have blind spots or any sense of entitlement, but he did seem to be one of the more decent enclaver kids.)
But I also really enjoy El, Liesel and Orion as well, and I won't be upset at all if Alfie isn't the focus. I'm here for Alfie/Liesel and El/Orion, or some variation of an Alfie/Liesel/El/Orion polycule, or gen. If it is post-canon, I would prefer if Alfie/Liesel and El/Orion are still a thing (although their relationship(s) certainly doesn't need to be the focus of the fic)!

- A typical day in the Scholomance - what does that look like for a normie-ish enclaver? The Scholomance reacted to Alfie's full name in the second book - are there other perks (or disadvantages) that come with being the descendant of the school's founder?
- Or maybe a not-so-typical day in the Scholomance? Enclave kids don't usually get attacked by mals, but maybe that day, Alfie does. Maybe Orion saves him, or maybe another character helps him, or maybe he saves himself. (Alfie as a sort of outsider POV on Orion(/El) could be interesting!)
- Post-canon, how involved would Alfie be in the maw-mouth hunting project? Or in the polycule? (I like the idea of him hooking up with El and/or Orion too, but if he's just very supportive of Liesel's relationship with El I'm here for it!)
- Post-canon, Orion joins El on the maw-mouth hunt during summer break. How does that go? Does he feel any kind of way about hunting maw-mouths? Is he just happy to be there? Does much maw-mouth hunting get done or are they too busy getting it on?
- Pre-canon AU where El and Liesel meet before entering the Scholomance. Maybe Liesel's mother goes to Gwen for healing the illness/injury that did her in canonically? Would the two girls being acquaintances and maybe allies affect the events of canon? Would Liesel's spreadsheet of compliments strategy somehow improve El's social prospects??
- Pre-canon AU where El and Alfie meet before entering the Scholomance. Maybe he's sick and can only be healed by Gwen, so his parents take him to the commune. Would they be able to become friends? Could El trust an enclaver back then?
- Post-canon, Liesel has to babysit/escort/guard Orion for ~reasons~ during a Scholomance break while El is away. Does it go well? Does Orion even remember her name? Do they find trouble to get into even without El there??
- Post-canon, Liesel and Alfie (and El?)'s efforts to take down Liesel's father and his wife in Munich. Is it more diplomatic or scorched earth?

I think these characters have interesting dynamics in each pair as well. I’m a firm believer that Marek and Solya were banging during the events of the book. Sarkan and Solya have big bitter exes energy as well. Marek and Sarkan just…do not get along at all, lol, but what if they didn’t have any choice but to work together? ( Feel free to also include as few or many of the other book characters in the fic as you'd like!)
Some prompts:
- Young Marek sets out to enlist the Dragon’s help to save his mother from the Wood, after it becomes obvious that his father and the other court wizards have no intention of doing so. Solya is the lucky wizard who’s sent to retrieve Marek from what everyone assumes to just be a standard problem child running away. Does Marek make it to the valley? Or maybe Solya takes him there just to get a rise out of Sarkan?
- Solya and Marek when they first started working together. Solya seems like pretty much the exact sort of person that Marek would despise, so how did they end up being such close allies? Or are they just using each other for mutual benefit?
- Something about the beginning of Solya and Sarkan’s rivalry? The two of them as apprentices or new wizards, before Sarkan takes up vigil in the the valley?
- After a particularly egregious incident in court, Solya is sent to the valley to guard it as punishment for him and Marek. In exchange, Sarkan is dragged back to court despite his protests. Sarkan and Marek have to figure out a way to get things restored to the proper order before it’s too late.
- AU where Marek survives the book but the assault by the Wood-queen leaves his ambitions shaken. He and Solya try to pick up the pieces, or perhaps even...make amends?
- Post-canon, Solya trying to cope with Marek's death (or maybe just with how that affects his own ambitions) with Sarkan as a reluctant audience?
- (I know this one in particular is a long shot, but just putting it out there--) I'd love to see a fusion AU with the Scholomance trilogy? Solya and Sarkan as reluctant indie allies? Solya trying to get close to enclaver!Marek, much to Sarkan's disdain?? Solya exasperated af with Sarkan's refusal to cozy up to enclavers in general???

Columbo

I’m sure I'll love whatever you write for me because I just want to read some amazing stories in these fandoms!
In case my Yuletide letter isn’t done before assignments go out, I wanted to say a little bit about some of the fandoms so you at least have a little bit of inspiration. You can also find my past Yuletide letters on my dreamwidth account if you want to get an idea of some of the things I like.
I don't have any triggers or anything I absolutely wouldn't want to see in a story. I like the kinds of stories that take place in universe and match the tone of the original. It's fun to see what's happening in the characters' lives post-series or behind the scenes.
Here are some things I like: Hurt/Comfort, Brotherly Love, Action Adventure, Crossovers. I’m also interested in Interactive Fiction if that’s something you enjoy making. I go into more detail about these things here in the beginning of last year’s letter:

Columbo: Homicide detective immediately knows who murderer is and chooses to harass and annoy murderer for entire episode.
Over the past year I became a super Columbo fan and it’s all thanks to Yuletide! Last year I matched with someone on Zelda: Majora’s Mask, and they had also requested Columbo. I didn’t even know that much about Columbo but for some reason I decided to write a Columbo/Majora’s Mask crossover. I watched a bunch of the show and thought it was so funny. It’s just Columbo harassing and annoying the murderer for an hour and a half until he busts them. It’s so funny.
After writing that crossover last year, I’m really into Columbo crossovers. Each Columbo episode is him meeting completely new characters, so it’s the perfect setup for a crossover to happen. I’m totally open to a crossover of Columbo and any of the other fandoms I’ve requested. If there’s something else similar to these fandoms that you want to do a crossover with, that’s fine too.
But if we matched on Columbo and you know nothing about any of theses other fandoms, or if you just are not feeling the crossover thing, I totally understand.
I love Columbo’s dog, so I would love if you can find a way to include him even briefly!

Final Fantasy IV

Cool guy uses power of the moon to defeat the darkness.
To be honest I’ve only played a little bit of Final Fantasy IV, so I’m not sure if my description is even true. But I love Cecil and Kain! I watched all of the Dissidia Final Fantasy cutscenes and that’s where most of my knowledge of them comes from. Cecil seems like he has a strong sense of justice, like he always tries to see the good in people. He also seems a little naïve and inexperienced with the world. Kain seems like more of a realist. He’s willing to do anything to help his friends, even the hard stuff no one wants to do. If it has to get done, so be it.
I didn’t get very far in the game, but I know a little bit about Cecil’s journey. I know there’s a part in the beginning where a town gets destroyed and he’s devastated. Maybe you could write something about how he feels about that, what that means to him. If you know Dissidia I wouldn’t mind if the story takes place there.
I don’t mind if you mention some non-spoiler events from the game, just please don’t include any major plot spoilers.

Here’s what I wrote about Wind Waker for a previous Yuletide, just so you can get an idea of what I like about the world. I’ll come up with new ideas and prompts in the full Yuletide letter.
I love Wind Waker for its cute and carefree world. I'd like an adventure story that has Link, Tetra, and the talking boat. Feel free to include any characters you like from the game! It can take place during the events of the game or post game. Here are some ideas I came up with:
-Link, Tetra and the pirate crew go on pirate voyages together. They're taking care of the last few monsters left over after Ganondorf's defeat. The talking boat offers his support however he can.
-Link gets sick while out on the high seas in his boat and Tetra and the pirate crew find him and take care of him.
-Link introduces Tetra and the pirate crew to his family and everyone else in his home village.
I'm open to other ideas too! Just as long as it's similar to the tone of the game. Also, if you'd like to cross this over with any of the other Zelda games, I'm open to that, especially Breath of the Wild.

This section is a little longer than the rest because it's the only canon I haven't requested before. I looked deep into my own heart and asked myself "would I be just as happy to get this as some faves I've loved longer?" and the answer is YES. Watching this unhinged show has been a delight of the last few months.
Many spoilers!
Please get Gao Tu and Shen Wenlang together with full catharsis of all the shit Gao Tu's been put through. That said, if Gao Tu could go through slightly less shit, that would be great! I wanted Shen Wenlang to get a clue looong before Gao Tu's kid is an actual toddler. In fact, for all the angst potential of their encounter, and for all my love of identity porn I would be very happy for that encounter to have gone a different way - even without the pregnancy. If they have to fuck that way could they at least enjoy a little part of it? Because. Horrific.
Maddening as Shen Wenlang's assumptions and prejudices were, and all the times Gao Tu sadly shrugged and just weathered it, there were times Shen Wenlang was really likeable to me. His eyerolling in the background of Hua Yong's scenes was hilarious. HIs utter blind spot about how Gao Tu felt about his pretense of coercing poor vulnerable omega Hua Yong to sleep with him was fascinating - he seemed to expect that no one who knew him would believe in it, that was just a farce for that arrogant bastard Sheng Shaoyou, right?! So the scenes where he was yanking Sheng's chain but also concerned about Gao Tu's reaction to alpha pheromone conflicts really stuck with me. Anyway, I would love for him to realize that because of how he's been acting, it was actually very reasonable for Gao Tu to believe he would do such a thing. But I also want to see his good traits come through. I think Gao Tu should get the jawdroppingly gorgeous alpha he wants, but I would also like to see a Shen Wenlang who has something going for him besides being jawdroppingly gorgeous. Please let both of them have some competence. Like, I think Shen Wenlang deserves to grovel a bit, but would prefer we not do that thing where the entire fic is Gao Tu Deserves Everything And Shen Wenlang Is A Worm. I hope that makes sense! Sorry if not!
I also really enjoyed Gao Qing! And the worldbuilding! Tell me more about HR requirements for pheromone-proof rooms in your company of upwards of X staff etc. Anyone else is welcome to show up; I'm especially fond of Chen Pinming and Chang Yu.
I'm obviously especially fond of canon divergence here, but scenes from pre-canon that lean all the way into the pining would be great too. And if you want to throw tropes at a wall, dreamsharing would be amazing, or give me a five times fic(x) of five different ways Gao Tu and Shen Wenlang's first time could have gone better.

Why did the narrator decide he'd rather have cash than marriage to the chairman's daughter and half of an agricultural collective?
How does Jožin adapt to the zoo? Does he hate being in captivity? Does he enjoy a wider variety of food? Does he enjoy watching and interacting with people, even though he can no longer hunt them?
Possible prompts:
The narrator wants to accept the chairman's offer, but only if the chairman's daughter's wants to marry him. She does not. She uses traditional (organic) methods on her family's personal plot, and has observed the differences between her family's garden and the collective farm's chemical agriculture – and noticed that the pest insects are the first to return after application of pesticides; the predatory insects, spiders, and birds take much longer – allowing for greater losses to pests in the chemical agriculture than the traditional. Vampire King Dick is the best thing ever. Tell me there wasn't sexual tension when he had dying Jason at his mercy and pulled off his mask, or a huge D/s undertone in his Lord/Lieutenant relationship with Hal. Or the part where he implied having Kory as a prisoner while using her blood as a temporary "cure" for signs of vampirism. Just want to see Dick as a dominant, totally remorseless vampire villain who you want to hate but also can't help but be enthralled by because "sexy vampires" and stuff.
Kinda into any kind of kinky scenario where Dick keeps Jason or Kory prisoner as unturned blood cows/sex toys, or Hal being a good little submissive vampire servant, or Jason being a good little submissive vampire servant in a world where Dick turns him. Of course if shippy/NSFW isn't your thing I'm just really into Dick being a demanding vampire lord in general so him basically commanding Jason or Hal or keeping Kory as a prisoner with heavy seductive undertones would be awesome too.

The full game gave us a lot of info on what exactly caused the visitors, but there’s still a lot we don’t know. Why is the pale man so in control while the cashier girl so lost? Are there different kinds of visitors? Are the visitors caused by fungus or the bug in the ears? Are they revived from the dead? Are some of them more “original” or “powerful” than the others? Do they really wear human skin (other than the pale man, the old granny also has a face that droops the longer you speak to her)? And how do the sun and FEMA play into all of this?
Are the visitors like vampires—risen from the dead, can’t enter without an invitation, and anyone can become one?
You don’t have to include all the requested characters, but please include the Protagonist.
The protagonist—his backstory is so intriguing. I want to know more. I want to know why he’s the way he is—lonely and borderline suicidal, but has to learn to open his heart for his guests. One thing the game really left me wanting is that there isn’t a single ending that’s objectively “good.” No… I didn’t really like the death ending in which we assume the Protagonist just… died. I’d love to see your take on a “good ending” in which the Protagonist not only survives but… is grateful that he does. Maybe with some of the guests being his found family. Perhaps he ends up fulfilling the neighbor’s last wish and adopts his daughter (damaged man reluctantly adopting an orphaned child is one of my all-time favorite tropes!). Or forming a bond with the widow and raising the neighbor’s daughter with her?
Other guests—not all listed, but I’d also love to learn more about any of the other guests that you find interesting.
I also find the demon baby ending really creepy and would love the backstory of the seductive woman and the cult.
Since only a few characters have canonical names, I’d love for you to come up with names for characters who don’t, but would prefer them to be other Eastern European names to fit with the setting.

I'll admit, I haven't played the game hands-on, only watched numerous playthrough videos of it. I think I've seen all the routes, however, so I should understand whichever detail you want to focus on. What I like about the relationships from this game is that... they're all kinda fucked up? Kurt's manipulation of everyone around him; Dimitri being a doctor who wants to do good but is inexcusable in enabling Kurt's evil deeds (possibly blinded by love?); the Protagonist being the player character connecting the most with us but ends up revealing as an enforcer of a tyrannical regime... Messy feelings and fucked up power dynamics all around!!! Kurt keeping Dimitri by his side using sweet talk but holds unspoken power over him; Kurt being all around creepy and fucked up with Protagonist when she lost her memories (I think the whole non-consensual mind/body modification alone is a HUGE assault on someone's person); Dimitri trauma bonding with the Protagonist over Kurt's manipulations... Or put them together, have Dimitri bonding with Protagonist only for Kurt to discover them and punish them both, or let Kurt be at their mercy. Going darker: Kurt forcing them into doing things they aren't comfortable with as punishment, or something with an unbalanced V-type relationship where Kurt clearly prefers one of them but keeps the other around anyway just to be cruel.
Other random ideas:
- anything similar to the Dimitri ending (possibly without the deaths?) where they successfully run away together (whether in a romantic way or not)
- I kept having thoughts about Kurt sexually assaulting the protagonist what with undressing in front of her and sleeping in her bed... but I'd also love to see more of the Anime-esque "bastard boyfriend" trope where he essentially tortures her (traps her in a toxic relationship) even though he's written as the pretty boy male love interest stereotype

Damn! I was hoping for Newton to survive, but I can’t complain that it ended up being Max. The chapter dedicated to his lasting trauma is sad but so well done that I can even forgive the turtle scene. I really want to see some form of happy ending where both boys survive and grow into adulthood, or just anything that’s less sad than the canon ending. And what about the aftermath? How would Newton corroborate with Max’s version of events? How would the parents cope? Would the two surviving boys form some kind of a trauma bond? Max/Newton is just as good as Max & Newton, so gimme shippy or gen content, I love them both!
I also love dark shit and the body horror of this book, especially when the worms are making Shelley believe that he’s pregnant and must now protect his “babies.” That’s both fucked up and has a… strange erotic undertone that makes you kinda uncomfortable. I love body horror, especially the type when a foreign parasitic entity is rewiring someone’s brain or modifying their body, severing their identity and making them into tools for the entity’s procreation. I like Shelley’s psychopathic creepiness as well as the scifi horror of the worms. Gimme something creepy, if you’d like! I’d love to see whump in which Shelley gets his hands (or the worms make him get his hands) on Max or Newton or both. Torturing them or making them into hosts just like Shelley. No happy ending is required for this, especially if you want to fully embrace the horror!

I love The Changeover a great deal - it's such a fantastic coming-of-age story, with huge compassion for all its characters (except of course the truly evil bad guy), a brilliant feeling of magic flaring at the edge of things, and a wonderful sense of place. Plus, I still ship Laura and Sorry like burning.
Don't feel you have to include all the characters I've listed - I'd love something that focused in on just Miryam, out with Winter in their big house surrounded by built-over fields. An AU in which she doesn't send Sorry away (not that I see this working out all that well, necessarily), or in which she takes more dangerous measures to stop suburbia creeping close? Or something about her relationship with Sorry, or with Laura?
I'd also really enjoy a glimpse of Sorry and Laura's future relationship - both of them growing up and figuring themselves out some more, and maybe fighting magical evil while they're at it. I'm very invested in Sorry's future life of being out in the wild and talking to trees, but what does Laura do once she's left school? I loved this sweet, sad, sharp little show: how generously metaphorical its central conceit was, how suggestive its mythology and worldbuilding, how fiercely hopeful it remained for all that it was full of horror and petty cruelty and the corrosiveness of fear. I've nominated Kieron and Simon, but I'd be delighted with fic that focused on expanding the post-Rising world, or on answering some of the questions the end of season 2 left open: what is to become of Amy? Of Jem? Of Maxine? One of my very favourite aspects of the show was its sense of place: how rooted it was in the landscape and community of Roarton; how much attention it paid to the dangerous (in this case, almost literally apocalyptic) dynamics of local gossip and old-new prejudices. Worldbuilding-focused fic that worked along these lines (minutes from meetings of the Roarton Historical Society before, during, and after the Rising?), or which expanded on the nightmarish bureaucracy faced by 'PDS sufferers' (to chilling and/or comedic effect) would be amazing.
(Incidentally, intrigued though I am by the implications of Amy's canon fate - and much as I refuse to buy that her second death was intended to be final - I'm not all that interested in seeing the undead returned wholesale to life, or at least not with this being presented as an uncomplicated happy ending.)
I should admit, as well, that In The Flesh was crammed full with tropes I absolutely love. 'Monsters' trying desperately to pass for human; characters haunted and threatened by the loss of their very identity (and identity-porn in general); the everyday mechanics of uncanny bodies; body-horror and unethical human experimentation galore ... if your fic leans into the curve on any of these aspects, I would be delighted.
I'd also be delighted with flat-out shipfic: how do Kieran and Simon negotiate their romance, after the end of season 2? How do they manage sex, if they do so at all? (I'd be more than fine with sweet/unsettling/hilarious zombie porn adventures!). How does Kieran cope with being the subject of some of the same messianic zeal that Simon once applied to the cause of the Undead Liberation Army - with having become, perhaps, Simon's new Cause? How does Simon deal with Kieran's tendency to second-guess himself, to sink into apathy or despair? How do they both manage to sustain a relationship across possible centuries of unlife? (And, ngl, I'd prefer it if they did.) What does the world look like, five centuries after The Rising? After Amy's (assumed) second resurrection? When Roarton itself is gone, and all its living inhabitants distant memories? There's a lot of room here for epic scope and aching bittersweetness (or flat-out darkfic: absolutely welcome), but I'm also very fond of the dopey, earnest awkwardness of Simon and Kieran's early courtship: I'd love just another supper with Kieran's family, or perhaps a meeting with an older Jem, post-canon. Or, well, just a day in the unlife. Village fêtes optional!

HotE ate my entire brain. I LOVE Cliopher. I love his devotion and love for his Radiancy, his desire to make the world a better place, his stubbornness and determination, his deep connection to his family, home and culture despite his long years so far away, his utter competence and unshakeable ethics… I love HR and his humor and mischief and longing to escape the confines of his position. I love the special bond they obviously have and which obviously means so much to them both, and my god the pining, I want them to be able to be together in all the ways they want to. I obviously ship them romantically, but if you are more moved to write about their love platonically, that is completely welcome as well. I am absolutely on board with canon divergence of the flavor "Kip is sexually attracted to HR" OR canon-level aroace Kip. I would adore fic that has the five friends living in Kip’s house in Gorjo City after they retire, something slice-of-life or working out who they are apart from their jobs. I’m imagining some silly roommate fluff/humor like HR making nothing but fruit salad every time it’s his turn to cook (because he loves fresh fruit!! - Daemon AU. Daemon-settling fics are so much about coming of age stories and formative experiences, and LC is a coming of age story about formative experiences; I love all the daemon tropes in general, but one of the things that interests me most about the idea of an AU for LC in particular is that I can’t imagine they’d settle as the same things in each ending, since the endings make them into such drastically different people. (But if *you* imagine they would settle the same way no matter what I’d be really intrigued by that too.)
- Post-canon - which may or may not include the immediate aftermath - of any of the endings, but the one that intrigues me the most is post-brainwashing. Either POV would be interesting. (Re: brainwashing: Does she regret it? What is it like? *What happens afterwards?*)
- Something surrounding Cuno’s relationship to the locusts and/or his nightmares and/or his imagination in some combination. I dearly love the locust box mechanic and its grotesque and beautiful evolution. (I would be delighted, and impressed, by any fic that manages to be about the relationship between the three of them: Cuno, Cunoesse, and the Box of Locusts.)
- Anything using Zaum (the drug) &/or the psychedelic cavefish marrow.
- I love Hercule and every ‘timeline’ he can go through in Act II and what C&C do to him; I love his opinions of them and theirs of him. & I also love everything we know about the Girl Leader and her place and scenes in Act IV. I think it would be really interesting to bounce them off other characters their age in a fic without leaning into smarm or losing their canon-typical rough edges. (I have a strong bias towards fiction that takes conflicts between children seriously.)
- There are very few C POV fics out there in the world compared to Cuno, and I would love any fic from C’s POV. (I love also whatever is going on with her skill Surface Tension and her “deep connection to water”, and wonder how that affects her perspective.)

Mods and DLCs are the fun part, most of all the self-indulgent ones that give all the colonists fox tails or make torture worse or whatever it is a given player likes. (Pick what YOU like.) - I actively like other people’s very self-indulgent RW OCs. RimWorld *is* a “story generator”.
- I would gladly love an AU from another fandom set inside RimWorld if the focus is on RimWorld worldbuilding. Hello, this surprised me so much when I saw it on the fandom list. I didn’t know what it meant and spent a few fascinated hours watching videos and reading their associated comments sections and screenshotting things and sending them to my friends. Every once in a while I will pick up a narrative work without knowing very much about it - purely based on vibes - and it will turn out to be very, very queer. The Alters surprised me. I went in expecting some identity stuff, some sci-fi, and fun gameplay. I sure got that, but I was not prepared for the "I guess we're all bi here" or the fundamental exploration of what it means to be the worst version of yourself by virtue of making all the worst choices and having to grow out of that while constantly under threat. I was not prepared for falling in love with all versions of Jan Dolski and also wanting him to climb Lucas Pena like a tree.
As you can perhaps see from which characters I chose, I would truly appreciate you exploring the Jans' queerness. I would like to see your take on saving Ben and what it means to love someone who doesn't even know you yet. I want to see what you would do with Lucas and Jan, whether they get to go to that dinner with grandma. Also, the worldbuilding and all the other choices you can make that change not just the fate of these characters, but the entire world.

I'm fascinated by the worldbuilding, by who these characters were and became - especially Eric who is, quite frankly, my favorite and deserves everything and anything he wants - by what it means to be both a person and a CHARACTER, especially in a narrative that's so steeped in archetypes and their subversion. But above all, I want Marius to gently hold Eric and kiss him like his life depends on it.

Listen, I am a simple girl with simple tastes and I would like you to explore their relationship. It's funny how the movies so clearly portray both of them as neurodiverse, but only Christian is allowed to be. Braxton has to be the normal one. He has constructed this image of himself as the caretaker, even though neither of them really want that. The distance Christian puts between them is deliberate and I want you to dig into the why. What pushes them apart, what pulls them together? And can two very fucked up assassins in their middle-age find some peace, maybe even with or alongside each other?

I find Braxton and Christian's relationship to be one of the most compelling aspects of the movies. I also ship them. I'm still not over the revelation in the second movie that Chris just... didn't show up to his promised meeting with Braxton. (At least it sounds like Braxton made a point of staying in touch this time...) Also, Braxton's teary-eyed vulnerability whenever Chris was in the same frame in the first movie continues to compel me.
Some prompts:
- Post-movies, one brother rescues the other from peril. Maybe they're together on a mission and something goes wrong, or maybe they were doing separate missions and one of them got in over his head. Hurt/comfort, teary (Braxton) and stoic (Chris) reunion, bad guys get murdered with violence. I'm here for any and all of it.
- Post-movies, they go hiking as Chris planned, or at least stay together for some time. What do they do with the cat? Is Braxton, king of abandonment issues, really going to just ditch Greg the corgi?? (Maybe they are both cat people, or maybe they can be a cat and dog family; either way, I'd love to read it!)
- Missing scene - one (or more) phone calls that Braxton made to Chris in the eight years between movies.

As long as at least two of my requested characters are the focus (in any combination), that's fine with me! Please also feel free to include as few (or many) of the other characters from the books as you'd like, so long as at leas two of my requested characters are the focus.
I have a particular soft spot for Alfie - something about characters that you wouldn't necessarily expect to be aware of their own privilege being so careful not to take advantage of said privilege and in fact actually feeling an obligation to give something in return for that privilege... Yeah. (Not to say that he doesn't have blind spots or any sense of entitlement, but he did seem to be one of the more decent enclaver kids.)
But I also really enjoy El, Liesel and Orion as well, and I won't be upset at all if Alfie isn't the focus. I'm here for Alfie/Liesel and El/Orion, or some variation of an Alfie/Liesel/El/Orion polycule, or gen. If it is post-canon, I would prefer if Alfie/Liesel and El/Orion are still a thing (although their relationship(s) certainly doesn't need to be the focus of the fic)!
Some prompts (partly recycled from last year's letter, when I only requested Alfie - which is why there are a few more prompts for him)
- A typical day in the Scholomance - what does that look like for a normie-ish enclaver? The Scholomance reacted to Alfie's full name in the second book - are there other perks (or disadvantages) that come with being the descendant of the school's founder?
- Or maybe a not-so-typical day in the Scholomance? Enclave kids don't usually get attacked by mals, but maybe that day, Alfie does. Maybe Orion saves him, or maybe another character helps him, or maybe he saves himself. (Alfie as a sort of outsider POV on Orion(/El) could be interesting!)
- Post-canon, how involved would Alfie be in the maw-mouth hunting project? Or in the polycule? (I like the idea of him hooking up with El and/or Orion too, but if he's just very supportive of Liesel's relationship with El I'm here for it!)
- Post-canon, Orion joins El on the maw-mouth hunt during summer break. How does that go? Does he feel any kind of way about hunting maw-mouths? Is he just happy to be there? Does much maw-mouth hunting get done or are they too busy getting it on?
- Pre-canon AU where El and Liesel meet before entering the Scholomance. Maybe Liesel's mother goes to Gwen for healing the illness/injury that did her in canonically? Would the two girls being acquaintances and maybe allies affect the events of canon? Would Liesel's spreadsheet of compliments strategy somehow improve El's social prospects??
- Pre-canon AU where El and Alfie meet before entering the Scholomance. Maybe he's sick and can only be healed by Gwen, so his parents take him to the commune. Would they be able to become friends? Could El trust an enclaver back then?
- Post-canon, Liesel has to babysit/escort/guard Orion for ~reasons~ during a Scholomance break while El is away. Does it go well? Does Orion even remember her name? Do they find trouble to get into even without El there??
- Post-canon, Liesel and Alfie (and El?)'s efforts to take down Liesel's father and his wife in Munich. Is it more diplomatic or scorched earth?

I think these characters have interesting dynamics in each pair as well. I’m a firm believer that Marek and Solya were banging during the events of the book. Sarkan and Solya have big bitter exes energy as well. Marek and Sarkan just…do not get along at all, lol, but what if they didn’t have any choice but to work together? ( Feel free to also include as few or many of the other book characters in the fic as you'd like!)
Some prompts:
- Young Marek sets out to enlist the Dragon’s help to save his mother from the Wood, after it becomes obvious that his father and the other court wizards have no intention of doing so. Solya is the lucky wizard who’s sent to retrieve Marek from what everyone assumes to just be a standard problem child running away. Does Marek make it to the valley? Or maybe Solya takes him there just to get a rise out of Sarkan?
- Solya and Marek when they first started working together. Solya seems like pretty much the exact sort of person that Marek would despise, so how did they end up being such close allies? Or are they just using each other for mutual benefit?
- Something about the beginning of Solya and Sarkan’s rivalry? The two of them as apprentices or new wizards, before Sarkan takes up vigil in the the valley?
- After a particularly egregious incident in court, Solya is sent to the valley to guard it as punishment for him and Marek. In exchange, Sarkan is dragged back to court despite his protests. Sarkan and Marek have to figure out a way to get things restored to the proper order before it’s too late.
- AU where Marek survives the book but the assault by the Wood-queen leaves his ambitions shaken. He and Solya try to pick up the pieces, or perhaps even...make amends?
- Post-canon, Solya trying to cope with Marek's death (or maybe just with how that affects his own ambitions) with Sarkan as a reluctant audience?
- (I know this one in particular is a long shot, but just putting it out there--) I'd love to see a fusion AU with the Scholomance trilogy? Solya and Sarkan as reluctant indie allies? Solya trying to get close to enclaver!Marek, much to Sarkan's disdain?? Solya exasperated af with Sarkan's refusal to cozy up to enclavers in general???

I’m sure I'll love whatever you write for me because I just want to read some amazing stories in these fandoms!
In case my Yuletide letter isn’t done before assignments go out, I wanted to say a little bit about some of the fandoms so you at least have a little bit of inspiration. You can also find my past Yuletide letters on my dreamwidth account if you want to get an idea of some of the things I like.
I don't have any triggers or anything I absolutely wouldn't want to see in a story. I like the kinds of stories that take place in universe and match the tone of the original. It's fun to see what's happening in the characters' lives post-series or behind the scenes.
Here are some things I like: Hurt/Comfort, Brotherly Love, Action Adventure, Crossovers. I’m also interested in Interactive Fiction if that’s something you enjoy making. I go into more detail about these things here in the beginning of last year’s letter:

Columbo: Homicide detective immediately knows who murderer is and chooses to harass and annoy murderer for entire episode.
Over the past year I became a super Columbo fan and it’s all thanks to Yuletide! Last year I matched with someone on Zelda: Majora’s Mask, and they had also requested Columbo. I didn’t even know that much about Columbo but for some reason I decided to write a Columbo/Majora’s Mask crossover. I watched a bunch of the show and thought it was so funny. It’s just Columbo harassing and annoying the murderer for an hour and a half until he busts them. It’s so funny.
After writing that crossover last year, I’m really into Columbo crossovers. Each Columbo episode is him meeting completely new characters, so it’s the perfect setup for a crossover to happen. I’m totally open to a crossover of Columbo and any of the other fandoms I’ve requested. If there’s something else similar to these fandoms that you want to do a crossover with, that’s fine too.
But if we matched on Columbo and you know nothing about any of theses other fandoms, or if you just are not feeling the crossover thing, I totally understand.
I love Columbo’s dog, so I would love if you can find a way to include him even briefly!

Final Fantasy IV

Cool guy uses power of the moon to defeat the darkness.
To be honest I’ve only played a little bit of Final Fantasy IV, so I’m not sure if my description is even true. But I love Cecil and Kain! I watched all of the Dissidia Final Fantasy cutscenes and that’s where most of my knowledge of them comes from. Cecil seems like he has a strong sense of justice, like he always tries to see the good in people. He also seems a little naïve and inexperienced with the world. Kain seems like more of a realist. He’s willing to do anything to help his friends, even the hard stuff no one wants to do. If it has to get done, so be it.
I didn’t get very far in the game, but I know a little bit about Cecil’s journey. I know there’s a part in the beginning where a town gets destroyed and he’s devastated. Maybe you could write something about how he feels about that, what that means to him. If you know Dissidia I wouldn’t mind if the story takes place there.
I don’t mind if you mention some non-spoiler events from the game, just please don’t include any major plot spoilers.

Here’s what I wrote about Wind Waker for a previous Yuletide, just so you can get an idea of what I like about the world. I’ll come up with new ideas and prompts in the full Yuletide letter.
I love Wind Waker for its cute and carefree world. I'd like an adventure story that has Link, Tetra, and the talking boat. Feel free to include any characters you like from the game! It can take place during the events of the game or post game. Here are some ideas I came up with:
-Link, Tetra and the pirate crew go on pirate voyages together. They're taking care of the last few monsters left over after Ganondorf's defeat. The talking boat offers his support however he can.
-Link gets sick while out on the high seas in his boat and Tetra and the pirate crew find him and take care of him.
-Link introduces Tetra and the pirate crew to his family and everyone else in his home village.
I'm open to other ideas too! Just as long as it's similar to the tone of the game. Also, if you'd like to cross this over with any of the other Zelda games, I'm open to that, especially Breath of the Wild.

I love the worldbuilding, and all the implications that circle around the fact that is space reality is defined by whoever has the strongest personality. The way that being one of the space kids is a metaphor for being queer, and the way you can look at those sorts of things at different angles through metaphor, while at the same time all the major characters are non-metaphorically queer.
Also, ladies kissin’ in giant robots is cool.
